Both of Centre's track and field teams were recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association when the organization released its All-Academic Teams on Wednesday.
After five successful seasons as an assistant coach for men's and women's cross country and track and field at Centre, Dan Graber has accepted a head coaching position at Webster University in St. Louis, Mo.
The Centre women’s track and field team went to the University of the South to do battle at the inaugural SAA Championships in Sewanee, Tenn. The Colonels finished in second after scoring 161.33 points and winning three events.
The Centre women’s track and field team held its final pre-SAA Championship meet of the year, hosting the Centre Twilight in Danville. The Colonels scored 196 points and won the meet.
The Centre women’s track team had a solid meet at the Cumberlands Invitational in Williamsburg, Ky., where they finished second out of 15 teams and got good performances from every event category.
The Centre women’s track and field team hosted the first of two April meets on the Centre campus. The Colonels finished second in the competition, winning two individual events and breaking two school records.
The Centre women’s track and field team traveled to Columbia, Ky. to take on the best competition the state has to offer at the Lindsey Wilson College Invitational. The Colonels finished second with a combined team score of 181 points.
